“Three-fourths of philosophy and literature is the talk of people trying to convince themselves that they really like the cage they were tricked into entering.”
-Gary Snyder
FIELD NOTES #1 Finding yourself knee-deep in bog-slop it's easy to miss the sun sprinting overhead, time, never quite ready to settle, the mud sucking at your knees a millennia's worth of rotting earth, and all those would-be heroes buried to their necks in death's black lagoon. 𑁍𑁍𑁍 I envy the creature who finds herself a patch of sun, curls up, and dissapears— sleeping by the window our heather grey cat sits zazen and wonders why her human friends are always on the move.
